U.S. Military Status is used pre-2015 to indicate if an individual has had any active duty in the U.S. military services or if the individual is a dependent of a U.S. active duty service member. Beginning in fall 2015, the Current US Military Status 2015 provides the type of military service or veteran status and the Current US Military Dependent Status 2015 provides the military dependent status.
