For undergraduates, the Admission Basis Group indicates the original basis for admission and will not change (e.g. "First-Time Freshman," "Lower Division Transfer," "Upper Division Transfer"), providing the student remains an undergraduate at CSUMB.

An Admission Basis Group of "Transitory," "Postbaccalaureate," "Credential," or "Graduate" is assigned when a student is admitted to the university in any of these other categories, even if they have previously been an undergraduate, transitory, postbaccalaureate, credential, or graduate student at CSUMB.
